Ruling party leader says Imran turned PM House into a \u2018blackmailing hub\u2019 instead of a university

\nPML-N Vice-President Maryam Nawaz has said that her party will \u201cbury\u201d Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) politically in the upcoming by-elections in Punjab and accused the former ruling party of economic mismanagement and bad governance.
\n\u201cPeople know who is responsible for inflation..he [Imran Khan] did not build even a single development project during his four years in power,\u201d Maryam said while addressing a rally in Punjab\u2019s Sheikhupura district on Friday.
\nMaryam\u2019s rally was a part of the campaign for upcoming by-elections scheduled to be held on July 17 on 20 Punjab Assembly seats.
\nSpeaking about the ECP\u2019s decision to suspend the Punjab government\u2019s free electricity scheme for lifeline consumers, Maryam said Imran approached the court and halted the scheme due to \u201cenmity against Punjab\u201d.
\n\u201cPeople would get relief but this man has approached the court to stop it from happening… we will provide free electricity to people consuming less than 100 units.\u201d
\nMaryam said amid a slump in global prices, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will soon announce a major-relief package for inflation-hit masses.
\n\u201cShehbaz Sharif did not only reduce flour prices for Punjab but for the entire country including Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa because this is not politics but a service to the people,\u201d she added.
\n\u201cPeople will bury PTI\u2019s politics in Punjab by-polls as they know who is responsible for inflation,\u201d he said, adding, \u201cThe PML-N will lift people out of problems and soon steer the country out of crisis.\u201d
\nThe ruling party leader while speaking about the former NAB chairman\u2019s scandal, said Tayyaba Gull had approached the then prime minister Imran to get justice. \u201cBut instead of providing her justice, she was forcefully kept in the PM House and Imran took videos from her to blackmail NAB chairman..\u201d
\nGull has alleged that NAB officials stripped her naked, made videos and filed cases when she refused to comply with then anti-corruption chairman Justice (retd) Javed Iqbal\u2019s \u201cdemands\u201d.
\n\u201cHe had promised to turn the PM House into university but instead it was turned into a hub of blackmailing.\u201d
\nMaryam said NAB closed down all cases against PTI leaders and stepped up investigations against PML-N leaders after former PM Imran \u201cblackmailed\u201d the then NAB chairman.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
