Says more reduction in petrol prices in next two weeks<\/p>\n
Pakistan Muslim League \u2013 Nawaz (PML-N) Vice President Maryam Nawaz on Friday said their opponents eyeing four seats of Lahore in Punjab by-polls would return disappointed as the city has always stood behind Nawaz Sharif.<\/p>\n
Maryam Nawaz said that July 17 will be a day PML-N\u2019s victory. She claimed that Lahoriites had survived a difficult period and predicted that the nation will experience good news as time went on. \u201cLahore always belongs to PML-N supremo and former premier Nawaz Sharif,\u201d she said while addressing PML\u2019N\u2019s workers\u2019 convention in Lahore.<\/p>\n
She said that Lahore was treated like an \u2018orphan\u2019 during the past four years of PTI government, adding that the PTI government would have turned the city into relics if it had stayed another year.<\/p>\n
It is not a war between a Lion and Bat or PML-N or the PTI but a war for the development of Lahore city. She said Lahore belonged to Nawaz Sharif and will remain to him in future too. <\/p>\n
She said that PTI\u2019s Punjab chief minister Usman Buzdar cannot be seen in the public rallies of PTI because he did nothing for the province.<\/p>\n
Maryam lambasted the PTI leadership and went on to say that the opponents will be chased away from the field and those who have a bad eye on Lahore will have to return with disappointment.<\/p>\n
\u201cImran Khan himself was the biggest puppet and he had kept Usman Bazdar as a puppet and now he begging the votes from the person about which in past he used to say that the biggest dacoit,\u201d Maryam said while lashing out at Imran Khan.<\/p>\n
Maryam Nawaz said that now as the PML-N has come into power in Punjab, they would set the record for developments in Lahore, like the past. She added that Punjab Chief Minister Hamza Shahbaz got the city\u2019s roads and streets cleaned within 24 hours after Eidul Azha.<\/p>\n
While applauding the Punjab CM performance, Maryam said during the occasion of Eid, Punjab CM Hamza worked day and night and cleaned the roads of the cleaned the city within 24 hours.<\/p>\n
The PML-N leader jibed that Imran Khan would come to Lahore today and ask for votes for Pervaiz Elahi \u2013 the man he once termed as the biggest \u2018dacoit\u2019 of the province. She said that Imran Khan had created a chain for looting Punjab where he was at the apex.<\/p>\n
She added that the city\u2019s last four years of development were wasted as Imran Khan – who was a puppet himself – had imposed a puppet Buzdar as the chief minister. Maryam Nawaz reiterated that bypolls are not the contest between PML-N and PTI, but they were a war for development of Lahore and Punjab.<\/p>\n
Maryam said the party\u2019s supremo Mian Nawaz Sharif has assured her to reduce petrol prices more in two weeks following the international market. She said Nawaz Sharif has told her today that the petrol prices will reduce more after two weeks if its rates will go down in the international market.<\/p>\n
She appealed to the voters of Lahore that they should cast their votes in favour of the election symbol of \u2018lion\u2019 and don\u2019t sit inside their homes.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
