\nRefugees are, without doubt, the most vulnerable people in the world. They deserve the same standard of treatment as the nationals of the country where they have sought refuge.
\nInspire Pakistan takes pride in serving refugees by empowering their youth through education in protecting their right to education and also through provision of protection services to them alongside United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) in Pakistan.
\nThis helps in the progress and development for the welfare of Afghan Refugees during their temporary stay in Pakistan. Inspire Pakistan through support of UNHCR established Urban Cohesion Hub at Rawalpindi where it provides need-based services to Afghan refugees and host communities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad to benefit from integrated services in health, education, vocational skills, legal support, protection and recreational activities for peaceful co-existence and social cohesion.
\nFirst Graduation ceremony for the year 2022 was held where Afghan and host students were given certificates on completion of different courses including Computer, English language, Beautician, Tailoring and Culinary Arts.
\nUNHCR and Commissionrate of Afhgan Refugees(CCAR) participated along with the Afghan refugee as well as host community providing an example of social cohesion. Ms.Tammi Sharpe the Deputy Representative of UNHCR was the Chief Guestwhereas guest of honour from CCAR wasMr. Fareed Ullah Jan, Commissioner Afghan Refugees.Graduates in their speeches thanked to the UNHCR, CCAR and Inspire Pakistan for providing support and expressedtheir gratitude to the teachersfor providing illuminating knowledge fortheir bright future.
\nMs. Tammi Sharpe on her speech at the occasion especially focused on the students where she guidedthem towards the right direction and path to walk ahead and to continue and pursue their dreams without compromising on small issues and hardships. Mr. Fareed Ullah Jan praised the hard work ofgraduates and gave them recognition for a job well done.
\nHe praised the teachers for motivating students throughout the course period. On this occasion, Mr. Qaiser M. Siddiqui, Co-founder and CEO Inspire Pakistan speaking to the audience encouraged graduates to find and boldly pursue their passions constantly and at the end thanked the UNHCR, Ministry of SAFRON, Chief Commissionrate (CCAR), the people and the government of Pakistan for their support, hospitality and protection provided to the Afghan refugees in Pakistan.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
