\nThe Asia Cup 2022, which was set to take place in Sri Lanka, has now been shifted to the United Arab Emirates (UAE), media reported.
\nPreviously, the T20 tournament was scheduled in Sri Lanka, but the Sri Lanka Cricket Board (SCB) has told the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) that it will not be in a position to host the upcoming edition of the Asia Cup T20 because of the economic and political crisis in the country.
\nBoard of Cricket Control in India (BCCI) head Sarov Ganguli had announced Thursday that the tournament has been shifted to UAE. \u201cAsia Cup will be in the UAE, as it is the only place where there won\u2019t be rains,\u201d Ganguly told reporters after the Board\u2019s Apex Council meeting here.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
