{"id":273223,"date":"2022-07-25T08:43:56","date_gmt":"2022-07-25T03:43:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/leadpakistan.com.pk\/news\/?p=273223"},"modified":"2022-07-25T08:43:56","modified_gmt":"2022-07-25T03:43:56","slug":"cm-sindh-visits-localities-in-karachi-to-review-drainage-of-rainwater","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/leadpakistan.com.pk\/news\/cm-sindh-visits-localities-in-karachi-to-review-drainage-of-rainwater\/","title":{"rendered":"CM Sindh visits localities in Karachi to review drainage of rainwater"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> KARACHI<br \/>\nSindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah visited various areas of Karachi on Sunday to review the drainage situation and directed the police and district administration to help the people in every possible way.<br \/>\nProvincial Minister Nasir Shah, Sharjeel Memon, and Administrator Murtaza Wahab also accompanied him.<br \/>\nThe Chief Minister advised the people to confine themselves and their children to their homes during the rains because, during rains, manholes are also opened to drain out the water.<br \/>\nEarlier, Karachi Administrator Murtaza Wahab said despite the light to heavy rain, the situation in the city is under control.<br \/>\nIn a statement, he said the city\u2019s roads and underpasses are clear and water is being drained from the roads of low-lying areas of Karachi.<br \/>\nOur Karachi correspondent Waqas reports that after rain the weather has been pleasant in Karachi.<br \/>\nMunicipal workers are on the road with machinery including pumps to drain out the water.<br \/>\nMeanwhile, the district administration Hyderabad is setting up 29 relief camps to deal with any emergency situation during the new spell of monsoon rains.<br \/>\nThe relief camps are being established in schools, colleges and will be supervised by the relevant principals.<br \/>\nMeanwhile, Chairman National Disaster Management Authority Lieutenant General Akhtar Nawaz, on the instructions of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, has contacted the Sindh Government and exchanged views on the situation emerged as a result of recent rains in Karachi and other parts of the province.<br \/>\nAccording to NDMA Spokesperson, the situation is under control of the provincial government. However, the NDMA has handed over more dewatering pumps to the Sindh Government.
