The visiting Consuls General and Head of Consular Affairs at Pakistan Embassy DC briefed the Ambassador on recent improvements brought in consular services. Ambassador Siddiqui applauded the steps taken by the Embassy and the Consulates General, and asked the concerned officers to further improve areas of consular services based on the feedback received from the community. Trade and investment related issues between Pakistan and the United States were discussed at length. Ambassador Siddiqui directed Trade\/Commercial representatives to focus on untapped sectors on both sides for enhancing commercial ties between the two countries. It was resolved that a frequency of such interactions would form part of efforts geared to better coordination between the Embassy and Consulates General.<br \/>\nSiddiqui was named the ambassador on May 8 after Aizaz Ahmed Chaudhry stepped down.
