\nThe Foreign Office on Thursday termed as \u2018factually incorrect and misleading\u2019 a new item stating that the FO had \u2018disavowed\u2019 the visit of Special Assistant to Prime Minister, Tariq Fatemi to Washington.
\n\u201cThe media story about SAPM Tariq Fatemi\u2019s visit to Washington is factually incorrect and misleading,\u201d Foreign Office Spokesperson Asim Iftikhar in response to a question.
\nThe spokesperson said during the SAPM\u2019s private visit to Washington D.C., his meetings were facilitated by the Pakistan embassy in Washington. \u201cOfficials of the Embassy also participated in the meetings. There was therefore no question of \u2018disavowing\u2019 it,\u201d he said.
\nThe Spokesperson said he had never stated that the \u201cForeign Office did not play any role in his meeting with US officials.\u201d
