Amid brewing political chaos in the country following the Panama leaks and other issues, the news of internal rifts within the parties and allegations of corruption on sitting members of parliament is not new but certainly not a positive development. While the Pakistan Muslim Laegue-Nawaz (PML-N) is already on the back foot following the Panama Leaks, the news of a rift between Chaudhry Nisar and Khwaja Asif could further harm its situation. On the opposition side, the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) is already in shambles following the recent events, while the leaders of the Pakistan People\u2019s Party (PPP) and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) are also accused of corruption worth billions of rupees.
