The increase in the cost of electricity  has been made under the head of Fuel Adjustment Surcharge (FAS).  The enhanced tariff will be applicable from September 01 for three months. The upward revised tariff will shift additional burden of  Rs 12 billion to the consumers. The industrial consumers which are enjoying relief package will stand exempted from this increase in power tariff.
