\nPakistan on Saturday strongly condemned recent air strikes by Israel on Gaza that resulted in deaths including of a 5-year old girl, and injuries to so many innocent Palestinians.
\nIn a press release, Foreign Office spokesperson Asim Iftikhar said the latest spate of aggression is typical of the Israeli atrocities, illegal actions and indiscriminate use of force against innocent Palestinians over the decades in complete defiance of international human rights and humanitarian laws.
\nHe said Pakistan calls upon the international community to urge Israel to put an immediate end to the blatant use of force and flagrant violations of human rights of the Palestinian people. It is imperative to immediately stop the aggression.
\nThe spokesperson said we renew our call for a viable, independent and contiguous Palestinian State, with pre-1967 borders, and Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital being the only just, comprehensive and lasting solution of the Palestinian question, in accordance with the relevant United Nations and OIC resolutions.
\nEarlier, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and former PM and PTI Chairman Imran Khan have condemned Israeli airstrikes in Gaza that saw martyrdom of 10 Palestinians including a five-year-old girl.
\nIn a message from his Twitter handle, Shehbaz Sharif said that martyrdom of 10 Palestinians including five-year-old girl in Gaza is latest act of Israeli terrorism.
\n\u201cIf impunity and barbarism had a face, it would have been that of Israel, which has targeted Palestinians without any care for consequences,\u201d he said while strongly condemning Israeli airstrikes.
\nMoreover, PTI Chairman Imran Khan also took to Twitter to condemn Israel attacks in Gaza and said that Israeli forces again launched air strikes against besieged Palestinians, including children in Gaza, violating all international laws.
\n\u201cIsrael is trying to use its massive [military] power to subjugate the Palestinian [people] & eliminate those who stand up for their rights & for end to Israeli occupation,\u201d he said.
\nFormer PM Imran Khan added that they stand with the brave Palestinian people and ask world powers to break their silence and act against Israeli atrocities committed on the Palestinian people.
