\nPakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has decided to hold power show in Islamabad on August 14.
\nThe decision was taken in the party s political committee meeting.
\nAccording to sources privy to the decisions taken by the party during a meeting headed by Imran Khan today, all party organizations have been directed to make arrangements for holding Independence Day gatherings.
\n\u201cA major show of power will be held in Islamabad on August 14 to mark Independence Day,\u201d they said.
\nDuring the public meeting, PTI chairman Imran Khan will give the government an ultimatum to hold the new elections.
\nImran Khan directed the party leaders to make preparations for holding public meetings. The meeting also approved to challenge the prohibited funding case at the earliest.
\nThe participants also discussed political situation and reviewed the legal aspects regarding the by-elections in nine constituencies.
\nThe meeting was briefed about the legal strategy regarding cases and resignations.
\nIt is pertinent to mention here that the PTI is trying to up the ante against the incumbent government, demanding them to hold early elections in the country.
\nThe party held a long March, Azadi March, towards Islamabad on May 25, which faced stiff resistance from PML-N-led federal government from entering into the capital.
\nHowever, it remained successful in entering the capital, only to be canceled later by the PTI Chairman Imran Khan who termed that he canceled it to avoid confrontation and announced that he would return to the capital again.
\nThe party has since then gained political ground after it secured victory on 15 seats vacated by its dissident MPAs and was able to grab the slot of the chief minister for its candidate Parvez Elahi, who was declared successful after a decision from the apex court.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
