\nFormer premier Imran Khan is set to announce the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf\u2019s (PTI) strategy to \u201ccounter\u201d the ruling government at its \u2018Haqeeqi Azadi\u2019 power-show on August 13. The PTI had on Saturday decided to hold a rally in Islamabad on the eve of Independence Day which will \u201ccontinue into August 14\u201d,
\n In a tweet today, the PTI chairman said that he will outline the party\u2019s plan of action against \u201cfascism\u201d as he questioned if supporters will \u201cbow down before this conspiracy in fear or, as a nation, face up to the challenge?\u201d.
\nEquating the government\u2019s \u201cfascist\u201d policies with \u201cYazidiyat\u201d, Imran Khan said that: \u201cEvery era has its Yazids\u201d in an apparent nod to the holy month of Muharram, the month of mourning for the seventh-century martyrdom of Hazrat Imam Hussain, the grandson of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
\nThe tweet has come only hours after Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah said that \u201cperformers\u201d who give an \u201cIslamic touch\u201d are now in need of a \u201clegal touch\u201d.
\nThe Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader made the comments while responding to former minister Sheikh Rashid\u2019s statement and added that \u201ccriminals\u201d in the foreign funding case have been escaping the \u201clegal touch\u201d for the past eight years.
