{"id":276768,"date":"2022-08-12T08:08:25","date_gmt":"2022-08-12T03:08:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/leadpakistan.com.pk\/news\/?p=276768"},"modified":"2022-08-12T08:11:09","modified_gmt":"2022-08-12T03:11:09","slug":"fia-peshawar-barred-from-action-against-asad-qaiser","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/leadpakistan.com.pk\/news\/fia-peshawar-barred-from-action-against-asad-qaiser\/","title":{"rendered":"FIA-Peshawar barred from action against Asad Qaiser"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Prohibited funding case<br \/>\n PESHAWAR<br \/>\nPakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) senior leader and former speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser on Thursday got a major relief from the  Peshawar High Court (PHC) as it bared the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) from taking action against Asad Qaiser in foreign funding case.<br \/>\nIn this connection, a hearing was held in the PHC on the application related to FIA\u2019s inquiry in the prohibited funding case.<br \/>\nAsad Qaiser had filed a writ petition in court through his lawyer, Barrister Gohar Ali, to avoid appearing before the federal agency and possible arrest in the high-profile case<br \/>\nThe court, in the order, asked the FIA what were the directions that the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has issued to the body regarding the probe.<br \/>\nThe PHC asked the FIA whether the federal government asked it to probe the PTI leaders.
