\nKP Minister for Local Government and Rural Development Sardar Faisal Amin Gandapur has paid tribute to the local government officials for celebrating the Independence Day with traditional national enthusiasm.
\nHowever he urged them not only to join the citizens in their Diamond Jubilee celebrations of Independence but also Continue the spirit of serving the masses throughout the year.
\nEnhancing the quality of municipal services to excellent level is need of the hour so that people\u2019s confidence in local bodies institutions is completely restored and they feel a truly independent nation and feel proud of it, he added.
\nHe was addressing a meeting regarding the arrangements and performance of the local bodies institutions regarding Independence Day at the Local Government Secretariat, Peshawar.
\nBesides, Secretary LG Syed Zaheerul Islam Shah, Secretary Local Council Board, Director General LG and Chief Executive of Water Supply and Sanitation Peshawar (WSSP), heads of various TMAs, WSSCs, Area Development Authorities and local government projects attended the meeting and gave a detailed overview of their services and performance as well as organizing the Independence celebration and improving the municipal services to the maximum extent.
\nFaisal Amin Gandapur made it clear that Chief Minister Mahmood Khan wanted to make all the departments, including the Local Government, Elections and Rural Development, more active and accountable to the people on modern scientific lines so that the people can truly benefit from the fruits of independence of this country that has been created in the name of Kalima La Ilaha Ila Allah.
\nHe expressed his satisfaction that the town and tehsil municipal administration of most of the big cities of the province not only showed excellent performance in terms of their services but also encouraged the citizens who renovated the public and private buildings and markets on the occasion of Independence Day.
\nHe said TMAs also played exemplary role in the decoration of bazaars and illumination at night. Similarly he said TMAs also encouraged the traders and shopkeepers community in decorating the bazaars and markets with national flags and flags.
\nThe Minister said that freedom is a great blessing and gift of God which can be valued and protected by living nations. He assured that just as the municipal officers boosted the spirit of the citizens in the celebrations and decorations of the Independence Day and maintained the atmosphere of competition among the people, similarly the provincial government will spare no effort in their encouragement and dignity.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
