LAHORE
\nChairman UK-Pakistan Business Council Mian Kashif Ashfaq Thursday said that frequent exchange of Pak-EU high level delegations will boost exports besides strengthening economic cooperation and trade relations.
\nTalking to a delegation of importers and exporters led by President Pak-British Friendship Council North UK Muhmmad Arbab Khan,he said Pakistan always attached great importance to its relations with the EU as well as it\u2019s historically proximity and cooperative bilateral trade ties with all EU member states.
\nHe hoped that upcoming visits to Pakistan by the EU parliamentary delegation as well as the next round of political and security dialogues under EU-Pakistan Strategic Engagement Plan will pave all ways for substantive cooperation between the two sides besides improving trade and enhancing exports manifolds.
\nMian Kashif Ashfaq said current GSP plus status with enhancing the mutually beneficial trade ties between Pakistanand EU and hoped Pakistan will continue to be part of the arrangements beyond 2023.
\nHe urged the pak exporters to also focus on imports in all EU member states as well besides UK which he added is big market for Pakistan.
\nHe said exports worldwide acknowledged as major source of income of any country without of which no state can progress in any sphere of life.He said in prevailing scenario all countries even developed and under-developed countries accord paramount importance and continue to offer baskets of incentives in their respective states to increase exports.
\nHe said that UK-Pakistan Business Council a non profit entity is fully committed to facilitate the importers and exporters of either countries to promote trade and fortify economic cooperation between two countries.He said being patriotic citizen of Pakistan,bears all expenses of council from his own pocket.
