PTI Chairman and former Prime Minister Imran Khan on Friday claimed his \u2018Chief of Staff\u2019 Shahbaz Gill was being sexually abused and humiliated during his incarceration.
\n\u201cAll the pictures and videos show clearly Gill was tortured both mentally and physically including sexual abuse – most too gruesome to relate,\u201d Imran Khan said in a twitter statement Friday, along with a video of Gill during his appearance before an Islamabad district and sessions court.
\n\u201cHe was humiliated to break him down. I now have full detailed info. ICT police says it did not inflict any torture,\u201d he further wrote.
\n\u201c[My question is..] Who tortured Gill? There is a general perception in the public at large and in our minds too as to who could have carried out the gruesome torture. Remember the public will react. We will leave no stone unturned to find out those responsible and bring them to justice,\u201d Imran went on to say in his subsequent tweet.
\nLater in the evening, the PTI Chairman visited Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) to meet Shahbaz Gill, who was shifted to the hospital once again for his another medical checkup, as per Islamabad district and sessions court orders.
\nHowever, Imran wasn\u2019t allowed to meet Shahbaz, and he left PIMS without visiting his Chief of Staff. \u201cWe were not allowed to meet Shahbaz Gill. Islamabad Police barred us from meeting Shahbaz despite court orders. I wonder whether upon whose orders the police was acting upon,\u201d Imran said while talking to media outside PIMS.
\n\u201cIs this the rule of law? Looters are being imposed on us. It is better to die instead of living a life of slavery,\u201d he said in his short media talk.
\nShahbaz Gill is currently under Islamabad Police\u2019s arrest for \u2018sedition\u2019 and \u2018inciting the public against state institutions\u2019. He was arrested after his controversial statement through an audio beeper on ARY News.<\/p>\n
Earlier, an Islamabad district and sessions court on Friday directed Islamabad police to shift PTI leader Shahbaz Gill to the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (Pims) for another medical examination.
