\nSpecial Assistant to Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for Information and Public Relations Barrister Muhammad Ali Saif has said Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) strongly rejected the recent increase in power tariff, adding that it would mount the woes of inflation-hit people manifold.
\nIn a statement issued from his office on Wednesday, Barrister Muhammad Ali Saif said \u201cthe imported government has dropped another bomb on the poor people of the country in the form of increase in electricity bills. People are bearing the brunt of the incumbent government\u2019s incompetence and failed economic policies.\u201d
\n By increasing the prices of electricity, more burdens have been put on the people who were suffering from unprecedented inflation, he said.
\nBarrister Saif said that prices of petroleum have fallen but the federal government did not decrease prices of fuel in the country. He said that the recent increase in electricity tariff would be rejected at every forum and its part considered it as an unjustified move of the centre.
\nHe criticized the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) leadership and termed their economic policies as anti-poor, adding that those who played a role in ousting Imran Khan from power corridor failed in bringing any relief to masses in the country.
\n\u201cAll of them have gathered to plot a regime change against an elected people\u2019s government only to steal the seat of power,\u201d Barrister Saif alleged.
\nHe went on to say that during the last five months of the Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) led government increased prices of almost all essential food items and forced people to abstain from purchase anything from market.
\nThe PDM leadership had joined hands to gain power and did not provide relief to people despite tall claims of prosperity and development, he added.
\nBarrister Saif said that the \u201cimported government\u201d was neither managing the power nor was it able to provide relief to the people, adding that people have extended its support to PTI chairman Imran Khan and the days of PDM leaders were numbered.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
