\nExecutive Secretary All China Journalist Association (ACJA) Ms Wong Dong Mei has observed that the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) is vital project and it has started delivering fruitful results with the close cooperation and coordination of the people, business community and governments of China and Pakistan.
\nIn an exclusive interview with the INP, Ms Wong Dong Mei said that China attaches great importance to China-Pakistan all-weather strategic cooperative partnership. \u201cIn recent years, with the joint efforts of both sides, China-Pakistan relations have achieved fruitful results, she said adding, the historic friendship has remained beneficial for both in economic and strategic fields while initiatives like \u201cCPEC and OBOR (One Belt One Road Initiative) have added further impetus to bilateral relations between the two sides.\u201d
\nAt the same time Wong Dong Mei said, comprehensive exchanges and cooperation in various fields such as economy, trade, people-to-people exchanges and education have been conducted. She said the two countries have cooperated closely in international and regional affairs, effectively safeguarding the common interests of both parties.
\nShe said the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) would be a game changer for Pakistan as it would enhance economic development in the country.
\nTo a question about the reporting of CPEC, she said that journalist community of both the countries has same views and they played key role in highlighting the project in its true prospect.
\nTo another question, she said recently held Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Summit has brought Pakistan much closer to China and Russia as it seeks regional security and cement economic linkages with SCO members.
