\nProvincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) has established 99 relief camps across the province to provide basic amenities of life to flood-hit people.
\n According to a report issued by PDMA here on Monday shared that during the last 24 hours a total of three people died and one person sustained injuries in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa as result of flash flooding.
\nAccording to data released by PDMA, the provincial government has set up 77 relief camps in Nowshera district where more than 25000 flood-affected people are residing.
\nSimilarly, 11 camps have been set up in Dera Ismail Khan for around 25000 people temporary residence, seven relief camps were in Dir-Upper, two each camps with full facilitation for local affected people in operational at Malakand division and Mansehra district, it stated.
\nIn a statement issued by the PDMA, that relief and rehabilitation operations were underway in the flood-affected districts and all resources were being utilized by the provincial government to provide relief to the affected people.
\nAccording to the data released by the Provincial Flood Control Room established in DMA, a Flood Emergency and Response Center has been established in Abbottabad district to provide relief to the flood victims of the region.
\nIt stated that on the directions of KP government five relief camps have also been established at five different spots for people residing in districts Mansehra.
\nThe report said that KP government during different operations has airlifted scores of people to safe places and rescue operations in flood-affected areas are still in progress.
\nThe rescue teams of Upper Kohistan district administration have shifted three women including two women tourists from Bulgaria to a safe place in operations, it added.
\nSimilarly, the government has also delivered more than 1,200 food-packages to flood-hit villages of the Upper and Lower Kohistan districts through helicopter.
\nDuring the ongoing operations by the district teams, as many as 178 people have been airlifted to a secure place in Upper-Dir district.
\n The report added that a total of 324 people who have been stranded in flash floods were rescued by the resuc teams were shifted to safe places in Upper and Lower Chitral districts.
\nThe designated teams of PDMA have also distributed food-items in three districts of Malakand division and more 6,000 were given medical assistance in ongoing relief operations in the areas.
\nThe report said that PDMA medical teams have also distributed medical kits among the flood-hit families.
\nDirector General PDMA Sharif Hussain in a statement has said that the provincial government has released special funds for districts including Kohistan Lower, Tank and Chitral Upper.
\nSo far, PDMA has released Rs730 millions for ongoing relief and rehabilitation operations across the province.
\nMr Sharief has said that relief and rehabilitation operations were underway in the flood-affected districts and all resources were being utilized to provide relief and protection to the people where floods have wreaked havoc to local population.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
