BEIJING : A spokesperson of the Chinese Foreign office Hua Chunying expressed her confidence that China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) will continue to function smoothly and it will achieve its desired socio-economic targets.<\/p>\n
Asked to comment on Western Media\u2019s reports about the CPEC\u2019s working in wake of Pakistan\u2019s debt risk and decline foreign reserves, she pointed out that a few days ago, Pakistan\u2019s Finance Minister Ms. Shamshad Akhtar has issued a statement to clarify the position, stressing that the Pakistan side will unswervingly push forward the construction of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor.<\/p>\n
The Chinese side has noted the shortage of foreign exchange reserves in Pakistan and believes that the Pakistani side can overcome temporary difficulties and maintain stable economic development.<\/p>\n
In recent years, the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor has played a positive role in maintaining a high growth rate of the Pakistani economy and has received the full support of the Pakistani government and people.<\/p>\n
