{"id":281932,"date":"2022-09-07T08:02:41","date_gmt":"2022-09-07T03:02:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/leadpakistan.com.pk\/news\/?p=281932"},"modified":"2022-09-07T08:02:41","modified_gmt":"2022-09-07T03:02:41","slug":"ihc-directs-imran-khan-to-join-investigation-in-terrorism-case","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/leadpakistan.com.pk\/news\/ihc-directs-imran-khan-to-join-investigation-in-terrorism-case\/","title":{"rendered":"IHC directs Imran Khan to join investigation in terrorism case"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> ISLAMABAD<br \/>\nIslamabad High Court (IHC) while stopping the police from filing challan in Anti Terrorism Court (ATC) in the case of threatening the additional sessions judge Zeba Chaudhry by Imran Khan has directed PTI chairman to join the investigation of the case.<br \/>\nThe petition seeking dismissal of case pertaining to hurling threats by Imran Khan to female additional sessions judge Zeba Chaudhry came up for hearing before two members bench of IHC presided over by Chief Justice IHC Athar Minallah Tuesday.<br \/>\nThe CJ IHC inquired during the hearing of the case has police filed challan against Imran Khan.<br \/>\nAdvocate General (AG) Islamabad said Imran Khan is not joining investigation. Police is not being given access to Imran Khan.<br \/>\nThe CJ IHC remarked police man standing in uniform is a state.<br \/>\nIf mistake is committed by police then the court will decide on it. If we don\u2019t comply with the law then how we will make it binding on others to abide by law. This is a test case for investigation officer too. The law will take its course. Every one should have trust on system. If wrong allegation has been leveled against Imran Khan then the investigation officer should remove it in his investigation on his own.<br \/>\nCounsel for Imran Khan said either case can be made or otherwise order be issued for stopping from taking any punitive action.<br \/>\nThe court directed the investigation officer to conduct investigation in transparent manner in the case.<br \/>\nThe CJ IHC remarked here prosecution branch does not exist then who will give advice to it. What is need of JIT.
