\nAmun Taraqqi Party (ATP) chairman Muhammad Faiq Shah has described developed nations are major cause of increasing climate change issues as they have put underdeveloped countries and their people into difficult situation by proliferation of mass-scale carbon emission.
\nSo, he added, they (developed nations) would pay a huge price for it.
\nWhile talking to different environmental experts and other delegations here at the party\u2019s central secretariat on Monday, Shah noted Pakistan is currently adversely suffering from climate change and global warming issues.
\nHe added a mass-scale proliferation of carbon has added intensity in the environment and glaciers are melting rapidly.
\nShah said that nations with feeble economy couldn\u2019t handle and control the rising climate change issues.
\nThe ATP chief called upon the U.N, U.S, China, Russia, France and U.K to come forward and play a role in averting human and ecological catastrophe.
\nHe asked the Government of Pakistan to frame a comprehensive network to pull out the country from these climatic challenges and issues.
\nSimilarly, he sought the cooperation from the world community for overcoming scarcity of forests and building small dams and water reservoirs in Pakistan.
\nHe lamented it is highly unfortunate that none of successive governments after 1960 had made efforts for construction of dams in the country.
\nNo initiatives were taken for pulling out the country from climate change issues and bringing improvement in the agriculture sector, and people and state are bearing the brunt of this slackness, he added.
\nShah emphasized that Pakistan should put its strong case before the world.
\nHe said the world must inform about rising climatic changes and its repercussions through a vibrant foreign policy.
\nFaiq stressed that the government, people along with all political parties needed to jointly fight against climatic challenges.
\nHe vowed that his party will raise rising climate change issues before the world by organising awareness campaigns, seminars and debates.
\nHe added serious efforts would be made to highlight the environmental issue at optimal, which is primarily aimed to unite the world on this serious issue.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
