The case came up for hearing before two members bench of SC presided over by Justice Ijaz ul Ahsan Tuesday. The lawyer Latif Khosa argued during the hearing of the case high court is not empowered to take suo motu notice. Framing import and export policies and determining the prices is mandate of the government and not the powers of the court. The federation also supported the stance of the petitioner; The court after short hearing of the case accepted the appeal pleas of federation and Sadiq Poultry and nullified the PHC decision.
