\nThe provincial minister for science and information technology Atif Khan said on Wednesday that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has allocated more than Rs9 billion for youth skills development program, adding that digitalization of government line departments will improve service delivery coverage and quality.
\nHe made these remarks while addressing the opening ceremony of the food department digitization.
\n\u201cThe food department digitization will help the government to ensure transparency in distribution of food stocks to market. It covers everything from wheat stock information in government warehouses across the province to laboratory management including tracking and inspection of wheat supply trucks,\u201d he maintained.
\nAtif Khan said that after the technology intervention and completion of the digitization process, one can get information regarding any aspect of the food department.
\nThe Food Safety Authority is doing a great job in improving the quality of food as it has ensured the supply of quality and safe food to the citizens in KP, he added.
\nHe said that action is being taken against hazardous food products in educational institutions, adding that strict action would be taken against those selling sub-standard food items in the market.
\nHe said that the provincial government in the budget 2022-23 has earmarked around Rs 9 billion for training in the IT sector for the youth.
\nSecretary food department Mushtaq Ahmed, who was also in attendance, said that the digitization will improve the monitoring process across the province and access could be made from office to all records pertaining to food stocks.
\nHe said that it will also bring about revolutionary changes in the inspection system.
\nFood Safety Authority and Food Department officials will file the report on the spot with the help of mobile application during inspection in their jurisdiction.
\nA challan will be issued on the spot, through which the penalty amount will be deposited in the bank.
\nThe system will promote transparency, and generate periodic reports on various aspects related to the food department, including performance and adulteration of food items in the province, he added.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
