\nOver 100 chairmen of the village and neighborhood councils from Peshawar and Malakand region of the province on Wednesday joined Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
\nThe local body representatives also expressed their resolve to support the PTI chairman Imran Khan in his proposed anti-government march on Islamabad.
\nAccording to a statement issued by the Chief Minister\u2019s House, Mahmood Khan welcomed the local body representatives.
\nSpeaking on the occasion, CM Mahmood Khan said people were leaving the other political parties, especially those who had formed alliance under the PDM, adding that Imran Khan was struggling to ensure the real sovereignty of the country and people from all corners of the country will take a stand with him.
\nChief Minister Mehmood Khan has claimed that \u2018Haqiqi-March\u2019 to Islamabad would be a decisive blow as it would decide the future of the country, adding time has come to oust PDM leadership from politics.
\n\u201cThe people have given their decision and Tehreek-e-Insaf has become the most popular party in the country,\u201d he added and said that people will make the real freedom march under the leadership of Imran Khan successful and no compromise will be made until the \u2018real freedom\u2019 is achieved.
\nMore than a hundred village and neighborhood councils of Peshawar, Khyber, Kohat, Shangla, Dir, Swat, Chitral, Bajaur, Charsadda and Mardan districts officially announced their joining PTI.
\nMahmood Khan congratulated those who joined and said that more than 200 local representatives of Hazara and Southern Regions have also joined PTI.
\n\u201cIt is a reflection of full confidence in the leadership of PTI chairman Imran Khan,\u201d he added. Khan while addressing the local body representatives said that Imran Khan is the only leader who was fighting tirelessly for the survival of the nation and the rights of the common man.
\nHe said that the current \u2018imported government\u2019 has no manifesto for the welfare and development of the people.
\n\u201cThese people have been involved in looting the national resources for the past three decades and still came to the government only to save their looted wealth. Imported rulers have always destroyed national institutions through political interference and are still amending laws to protect their vested interests and prevent corruption,\u201d he alleged.
\nHe accused the incumbent government of lacking capacity to sustain the economy of the country, adding that due to the government incompetence the country passing through unprecedented inflation and political instability.
\nThe Chief Minister said that a real freedom march has been planned by the PTI chairman to get the country out of this quagmire of problems and everyone has to play their role to make it successful.
\nMeanwhile, while talking about the new local government system, the Chief Minister said that PTI believes in the transfer of powers to the lower level.
\nHe said that concrete steps were being taken to solve the problems faced by local body representatives.
\nThe Chief Minister said that the provincial government has taken several initiatives including Health Card and Kisan Card to benefit the citizen of the province without any political discrimination.
\nHe said that for the first time in history, the provincial government has started the process of providing honorarium to Imams of mosques and the government was trying to make the service delivery system effective as per PTI\u2019s manifesto.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
