\nKhyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly Standing Committee on Population Welfare department on Thursday sought information about districts having fewer and details of vacant posts under the department.
\nThe committee has asked the department concerned to submit complete data before the forum in the next meeting about the total vacancies lying vacant at different districts of the province.
\nThe meeting was chaired by Member of Provincial Assembly (MPA) Nighat Orakzai and attended by members including Women lawmakers Madiha Nisar, Baisarat Khan, Humira Khatun, Subia Shahid, Shahida Waheed, Naima Kishwar, Shagufta Malik, Rehana Ismail, Asia Saleh Khattak and MPA Mirkalam Khan.
\nAdditional Secretary, Deputy Secretary and Director General of Population Welfare department, Deputy and Assistant Secretaries Provincial Assembly, Deputy Litigation Officer Law Department, Deputy Director Social Welfare Department, Director Program Women Commission KP and Assistant Advocate General and other related officers were also present on the occasion.
\nWhile chairing the meeting, Nighat Yasmin Orkazai ordered the department concerned to furnish details before the committee about the vacant positions under the Population Welfare department in different districts of the province.
\nThe forum deliberated over the progress made so far on female welfare assistant cadre, procurement of contraceptive pills, vacancies at the district level in the department and the decisions made in the previous meeting.
\nOn this occasion, it was unanimously decided to develop issues for giving time scale promotion to the female welfare assistants recruited in the population welfare department.
\nThe committee presented the complete details of the 260 family welfare centers to be established and the recruitment process for them to the relevant authorities in the next committee meeting.
\nWoman lawmaker and member of the committee Shaughta Malik emphasized on speeding up the awareness campaigns about maintaining family balance in order to adopt a dignified life.
\nThe meeting was apprised that more than two hundred community level Ulemas have been trained as master trainers to hold awareness sessions on the benefits of a balanced family and mother and child health care issues.
\nThe officials of the department informed the meeting that more than 4,000 religious scholars have completed their initial training for conducting awareness sessions at district level.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
