\nElection Commission of Pakistan (ECP) seems to be more active now, barring politicians from using foul language. Election campaigns should be free from any bias or words or terms that are disparaging.
\nJust recently, a number of politicians in a number of political campaigns used foul language against their opponents; interestingly, ECP took its notice and bluntly denounced these public representatives, a private television channel reported Sunday.
\nFocal thing to remember is that even noticeable and well-reputed politicians were not spared; answers concerning clarification of statements given by of these politicians were rejected.
\nNotification to bar the success of former CM KP Pervez Khattak will be issued until ECP gives permission. Clarification answers of Ayaz Sadiq and Maulana Fazal ur Rehman were too rejected straightforwardly.
\nUnder the leadership of Chief Election Commissioner, four-member committee heard the cases and overruled the answer submitted by Pervez Khattak\u2019s representative. ECP censuring ex-CM asked why Babar Awan is presented every time PTI or any of its leader commit shameful act. Babar Awan, lawyer of CM, did not present before the commission instead his representative presented the reply.

\nThe commission took ex-speaker National Assembly to task and stated speaker violated law and should be ashamed of himself. ECP still demands clarification from these political figures.
\nIf historical background of public institutions like ECP is considered, they ignored a number of misconducts committed by politicians especially the affluent ones.
\nNow ECP seems to be more active against well-known politicians. Political campaigns should be free from foul language. Derogatory words against opponents will further pollute the political environment.
\nInstead everything should be done in accordance to set and certain limitations. In this regard, not only ECP but leadership of political parties should play their due and desired role.
