\nIslamabad High Court (IHC) has accepted protective bail plea of PTI chairman Imran Khan in prohibited funding case.
\nImran KHAN approached the court Wednesday in connection with his protective bail in view of his arrest in the case registered against him under foreign exchange act.
\nImran Khan took the plea in his petition FIA has registered case under foreign exchange act. The court is requested to accept protective bail plea so that he could appear in the respective court.
\nAssistant Registrar Asad Khan raised three objections over Imran Khan protective bail petition.
\nIt was said in the first objection how can he come in high court before going to special court. The second objection was this Imran Khan had not got done biometric. The third objection was this unauthentic copy of FIR has been attached with the petition.
\nThe petition for protective bail came up for hearing before a single bench of IHC led by Chief Justice (CJ) Athar Minallah here Wednesday and he removed all the three objections.
\nSuleman Safdar and Intizar Hussain appeared on behalf of Imran Khan in the court.
\nSuleman Safdar argued during the hearing of the case two more persons are included in this case. The other two persons who were included in this case had resorted to court for obtaining bail. The female additional sessions judge had regretted to hear the case of these two persons. We want to go to trial court, therefore, bail be granted.
\nThe court inquired \u201c to your view this case should go to what court.
\nSuleman Safdar replied this case pertains to banking court or special central court. No mention of fake accounts has been made in this case.
\nThe court inquired Imran Khan is where.
\nSuleman Safdar replied if court wills we will appear in the court. Imran Khan did not appear due to extraordinary situation.
\nThe CJ IHC remarked Imran Khan should appear in this court till 3 pm.
\nSuleman Safdar said the matter will be too much delayed till 3pm. He will come within half an hour.
\nThe CJ IHC remarked Ok he can come.
\nIHC while summoning Imran Khan within half an hour prevented administration from arresting Imran Khan.
\nImran Khan appeared in the court on being summoned by court.
\nThe CJ IHC Athar Minallah inquired during the hearing of the case this case is of FIA. Who will see it.
\nAdditional Advocate General Munawwar Iqbal Dogal replied special court will see this case.
\nThe CJ IHC remarked they had filed bail pleas in the morning which were not heard.
\nAdditional Attorney General said what clause has been included in the case, it is relevant to sessions court.
\nThe CJ IHC while granting bail to Imran Khan till Monday remarked if the matter of jurisdiction is not resoled then we will see it so that the proper forum for bail could be determined If it could not be resolved then this matter will remain pending hearing in this court.
\nSuleman Safdar the counsel for Imran Khan said such cases are in Lahore and Karachi too. The by polls are going to take place too. Exemption from attendance be granted on Monday.
\nLater the court accepted bail plea of Imran Khan till Tuesday besides ordering him to deposit surety bonds of Rs 5000.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
