Says PTI chief was spreading lies about rivals but caught red-handed

\nPakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Vice-President Maryam Nawaz has said that Pakistan\u2019s first certified liar and thief has been disqualified with irrefutable proofs of theft.
\nReacting to the disqualification of Imran Khan on his Twitter handler on Friday, she said that the man and wife had looted the national exchequer jointly. Maryam Nawaz said: \u201cAs big as the theft is, the punishment should not end only with disqualification.
\nHe should be arrested and brought before the law and the looted money should be recovered.\u201d She said that Thanks Allah, the certified thief who used to accuse others of being thieves has met his end.

\nOn the other hand, Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, while reacting to the ECP verdict, have said that Imran Khan has been caught red-handed and the punishment should not end with disqualification only.
\nIn his tweet, Bilawal Bhutto said \u201cElection commission of Pakistan has found Imran Khan guilty of corrupt practices. He now stands disqualified. He who would spread lies about alleged corruption of his political opponents has been caught red handed.\u201d
\nCommenting on the disqualification of former prime minister Imran Khan by the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) in the Tosha Khana case, Federal Minister and PPP leader Sherry Rehman said the ECP had given the decision as per law and that the PTI should not give it any twist.
\nShe made it clear to the PTI leaders and workers that Imran was not the first politician, who had been disqualified. \u201cAnother former prime minister Nawaz Sharif had been declared ineligible for holding any public office only because did not inform the concerned authorities that he had not received the salary,\u201d she said, and claimed, \u201cImran\u2019s case was not different from that of Nawaz, and there could be no two different decisions in the case of the same nature.\u201d
\nSherry was of the view that the PTI demanded two sets of laws: one for itself and the other for its political opponents. She said that the PTI leaders, instead of threatening the ECP and calling it names, should discuss the legal aspects of today\u2019s verdict.
\nThe federal minister said how ironical it was that that very man who called others \u2018thieves and thugs\u2019 had himself proven to be \u2018corrupt\u2019.Talking to media persons after announcement of judgment in front of ECP, PML-N leader Barrister Mohsin Shahnawaz Ranjha said he was expecting that after the decision, Imran Khan would also be imprisoned for three years under Election Act.
\nRanjha said Khan had initiated politics of allegations and now was himself a proven thief resulting in disqualification from politics and still would have to be accountable for 2018 onward filed returns before ECP.
\nThe PML-N leader further said that Imran Khan was declared guilty of corrupt practices because he had sold gifts he acquired for pennies from Toshakhana and made the Nation fool by labeling allegations of corruption against his opponents.
\nSpeaking on the occasion, Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam leader Maulana Salahuddin Ayubi said that today was a day of happiness for Pakistan and its people.
