\nActing Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mushtaq Ahmad Ghani on Tuesday said that the federal government should play its due role in strengthening the federating units, saying the federal government should pay due share of the province.
\nHe made these remarks while addressing the participants of 24th National Security Workshop who visited Governor House Peshawar.
\nThe Acting Governor welcomed the participants of the workshop on their arrival at the Governor House and apprised them on the constitutional responsibilities and historical background of the Governor House in the province.
\nOn this occasion, Acting Governor Mushtaq Ahmed Ghani said that he was very happy to meet the participants of the 24th National Security Workshop, adding that he himself had been a part of such a workshop in the past.
\nThe workshop not only increases knowledge but also creates a memorable relationship, he added and said that he has been performing the constitutional duties of Acting Governor for the last 6 months along with Speaker Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly.
\nAfter the FATA merger, the role of the Governor\u2019s House in the province has been limited, the Governor\u2019s House as the Chancellor\u2019s Office who also looks after the affairs of the public sector universities of the province.
\nMushta Ghani maintained that it was his personal wish that all the provinces should get their rights without discrimination.
\n\u201cThere should be no difference in constitutional rights between the federation and the provinces,\u201d he added.
\nHe urged that the rights of the provinces should not be affected by the federation as it will weaken the system and the federation collective efforts for progress and development.
\nThe participants of the workshop included members of parliament, academia, bureaucracy, business community and civil society, and other people from all walks of life.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
