\nThe service of Pakistan Sports Federation and especially Sports Writers Association of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for the promotion of sports in Pakistan could not be denied and holding Training Program for Young Journalists would help in exploring the hidden talent.
\nThese views were expressed by squash legend and former world champion Qamar Zaman and former Sports Minister and Senior Vice President of Pakistan Olympic Association Syed Qaqil Shah in the session of Young Sports Reporters Training Program organized by Pakistan Sports Writers Federation with the collaboration of Sports Writers Association, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
\nWhile giving a lecture former Minister of Sports and Senior Vice President of Pakistan Olympic Association Syed Aqil Shah said that he is grateful to the FSWF for providing an opportunity to young sports writers to learn something, for which he congratulated him.
\nAddressing the young reporters on this occasion, he said that they should learn from their seniors and take full advantage of this opportunity. He said that thanks to such journalists, the quality of sports reporting in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is much better than other provinces.
\nHe said the services of Sports Writers Association are not unknown to anyone, now it is the responsibility of young sports writers that they should work only for the promotion of sports and always make a habit of giving positive criticism so that the facts can be revealed as well as the defects found in the sports facilities can be rectified.
\n\u201cDo not try to do yellow journalism, it damages the reputation of the sport and the journalist himself,\u201d he added. On this occasion, the legendary squash player and former world champion Qamar Zaman also gave a lecture to the young reporters and said that they should not play sports in any country without sports writers could be promoted, no matter how good a player is, he cannot be exposed to the world unless he has the best coverage in the media.
\nHe said Pakistan and especially KP created big names in the field of sports, in the same way sports writers also earned a name at the international level, the living example of which is the Secretary General of Asia Sports Writers Association, Amjad Aziz Malik.
\nHe advised young sportswriters to go and report on their own and not depend on others until you sit on the field and you don\u2019t know about the nuances of the game and to understand a game like squash.
\nSenior journalist Arshad Aziz Malik also gave a lecture to the young sports writers and not only informed them about his international experiences but also taught them the tricks of reporting in big events with speed and advised them to learn from senior sports writers.
