\nMOSCOW: Moscow will \u201cin the near future\u201d summon the British ambassador to hand over \u201cevidence\u201d of its claim that the UK helped orchestrate an attack on the Russian Black Sea Fleet in Crimea, the foreign ministry said Wednesday.
\nRussia has claimed UK \u201cspecialists\u201d helped Kyiv launch a drone attack on the fleet in Moscow-annexed Crimea at the weekend.
\nRussia has also accused London of being behind September explosions on the Nord Stream gas pipelines.
\nRussian authorities have so far provided no proof to back up their claims.
\n\u201cThe UK ambassador will be summoned and will be given the appropriate materials,\u201d foreign ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said, adding the meeting would take place \u201cin the near future.\u201d
\n\u201cThe basic materials will be handed over as evidence to the British side and will also be shown to the general public,\u201d she added.
\nThe British ambassador to Russia is Deborah Bronnert.
\nZakharova said Moscow will publish the \u201cmaterials\u201d after its meeting with the ambassador.
\nOn Saturday, the Russian army said Ukraine had launched the drones on its fleet \u201cunder the leadership of British specialists in the city of Ochakiv\u201d in southern Ukraine.
\nMoscow added that \u201caccording to our information\u201d the same British unit had \u201ctaken part in the planning\u201d of September explosions on the Nord Stream gas pipelines under the Baltic Sea.
\nThe UK says these are \u201cfalse claims on an epic scale.\u201d
