\nPakistan\u2019s new batting sensation Mohammad Haris has been the talk of the town after playing two blistering cameos in the T20 World Cup.
\nSpeaking to ESPNcricinfo outside his hotel before leaving for Sydney, Haris highlighted his mantra of batting, \u201cMy game is such that I take the attack to every bowler. I didn\u2019t look at the bowler, whether it was Rabada, Nortje, or whoever else. I just backed myself and my strengths.\u201d
\nHaris received immense criticism after he was dismissed twice by the West Indies while playing ugly shots in the ODI series earlier in June. He was also not part of the main squad and appeared in just one of the 18 T20Is Pakistan played before the mega-event.
\n\u201cEveryone has their role in the team, and they have to fulfill that,\u201d he says. \u201cI\u2019ll be happy to play anywhere. I have confidence in my shots when I play through the air that I\u2019ll be able to clear the rope. It\u2019s great when you perform well and help the team out. Now it\u2019s about taking the momentum through. We have a lot of confidence. We came in winning the tri-series, which gives us confidence, too.\u201d said Haris.
\n\u201cI watched him closely over the last month, and he was the one individual that came into every net session and faced all of our quicks. That was like McGrath, Warne, Lee, and Gillespie.
