\nJustice Mansoor Ali Shah has remarked during the hearing on the petition of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) against the amendments in the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Act in the Supreme Court that whether the court should stop the Parliament from bringing amendments.
\nA three-member special bench of the Supreme Court, headed by Chief Justice Umar Atta Bandial, comprising Justice Ijazul Hassan and Justice Mansoor Ali Shah, heard the petition filed against the NAB amendments.
\nDuring the hearing on Imran Khan\u2019s petition against NAB amendments, Imran Khan\u2019s lawyer handed over documents of the Anti-Corruption Convention from the United Nations, the European Union and the African Union.
\nThe Chief Justice said that according to you there are some benchmarks regarding corruption which have to be maintained.
\nRight now the UAE is also on the gray list due to weak money laundering laws. Court asked to discuss the fundamental rights in the case.
\nImran Khan\u2019s lawyer Khawaja Haris said that corruption affects fundamental rights.
\nThe right to fair trial and equality also affected, while Justice Ijaz-ul-Ahsan said that public trust is also damaged by misuse of public money.
\nOn this occasion, Justice Mansoor Ali Shah remarked that your words are a good speech for Parliament.
\nKhawaja Haris said that no one in the parliament is ready to listen, they are doing according to their will.
\nJustice Mansoor Ali Shah said that one should be in Parliament to listen.

\nKhawaja Haris said that every country in the world is asking for stricter corruption laws and punishments.
\nThe Chief Justice said that Khawaja Haris thinks that it will be difficult to catch those who escaped.
\nKhawaja Haris said that in the Swiss Accounts case, all the records disappeared as soon as the case was over.
\nThe accused were acquitted due to the lack of original documents in the NAB references, Ishaq Dar could not have returned if 31A had not ended.
\nJustice Ijaz-ul-Ahsan questioned that as a nation can we afford all this.
