\nSarhad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI), President Muhammad Ishaq asserted it is highly critical to comprehend with the prevalent laws, rules and procedures so that most of the business community issues could resolve itself.
\nIshaq was talking to a delegation of the Sarhad Petroleum and Cartage Dealers Association (SPCDA) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa during a meeting here at the chamber\u2019s house on Thursday. SCCI senior vice president Shahid Hussain also present on the occasion.
\nThe delegation was headed by the association\u2019s pattern in chief and former SCCI president Engr Maqsood Anwar Pervaiz and chairman Abdul Majid Khan.
\nOther members of the delegation include the association general secretary Gul Nawaz Khan, senior office bearers, owners and dealers of filling stations from Peshawar, Bara and Jamrud, other districts of KP.
\nThe SCCI chief assured the occasion delegation that to take up issues relating to petroleum sectors with relevant authorities.
\nHe viewed SCCI being a prime forum of the business community, which had always played a pivotal role in resolution of the traders\u2019 issues.
\n\u201cWe are ready to go any extent for provision of relief to the business community under ambit of rules and regulations,\u201d
\nHe, however, emphasized that taking initiatives at association level is vital to intact its importance before relevant government institutions\/bodies.
\nEarlier, the association chairman Abdul Majid Khan and general secretary Gul Nawaz Khan apprised the SCCI chief regarding issues of owners of filling stations and petroleum dealers, in which conversion of filling station electricity tariff from commercial to industries and supplying of electricity from less lines loss and supply of electricity through theft-free feeders were at top list.
\nThe chamber president called upon the institutions concerned to keep the dignity of the business community intact while ensuring enforcement of laws, rules and regulations and policies.
\nHowever, he made it clear any step out from ambit of rules couldn\u2019t be acceptable.
\nTalking about the proposals from members of the association, the SCCI chief asked to collect actual data regarding consumption of electricity and charge of tariff and prepare proper case study in order to present before relevant departments to resolve issues amicably.
\nIshaq asked the association to take harsh steps after exhausting all options at government department level so the SCCI will also support the association and will go to every extent.
