\nPakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan Monday said that he wants friendly ties with all countries including China, Russia, and the US on equal footing but will not accept slavery at any cost.
\nAddressing long march participants at Mandi Bahauddin, Jaranwala, Charsadda, Jhelum and Chiniot via a video link, former prime minister Imran Khan said he always wanted an independent foreign policy for Pakistan.
\n\u201cWe don\u2019t want enmity with anyone. We want good relations with everyone, but not slavery,\u201d he vowed. \u201cWe can have friendly ties with India provided the Kashmir issue is solved,\u201d he hinted.
\nTaking a jibe at the current regime for non-registration of FIR, he accused the Punjab police of not filing the FIR as it was under pressure from the federal government to do so.
\nPTI chairman said that registering a first information report (FIR) of the attempt on his life in Wazirabad is his right. He also lamented that he is unable to register the FIR of the attack on him in Wazirabad, despite being in power in Punjab.
\nImran Khan said that a country\u2019s prosperity is directly linked to rule of law. \u201cIf a country does have the supremacy of law and constitution, it cannot become wealthy,\u201d he asserted.
\nHe added that only justice and peace can ensure the prosperity of a society. He pointed out that Pakistan is at 129 on the rule of law index. \u201cHow can we prosper then?\u201d The secret behind the prosperity of western countries is rule of law, he added.
\nPTI chief Imran Khan said that Imran Khan alleged that a propaganda cell in Pakistan is working against him. The cell is used to pick and choose things from my interview and then turn those against me, he maintained.
\nLashing out at Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif over the Daily Mail case, the PTI chief said, Shehbaz was fined by the London\u2019s court as the court emphasized that everyone is equal in terms of the law. In Britain, the rule of law very much exists. Questing how could be it possible that PM Shehbaz Sharif consults the absconder [Nawaz Sharif] over important decisions of the country like the Army Chief\u2019s appointment and snap elections as this is a violation of the Official Secret Act.
\nHe said that Nawaz Sharif will never take decisions in Pakistan\u2019s interests and will just think about protecting his own assets. He again called on the apex court to probe the killing of Arshad Sharif, the alleged torture of Senator Azam Swati, and the Wazirabad FIR.
\nKhan further said that the PTI leaders have approached the apex court for the Wazirabad incident. We are very much hopeful that the Chief Justice of Pakistan will look into the matter,\u201d he added. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
