\nChairman, Amun Taraqqi Party (ATP) Muhammad Faiq Shah has stated that strengthened economy is the guarantor of stable and progressive Pakistan, and national security, progress and prosperity attached with it.
\nHe demanded to frame a joint policy on economy, education and agriculture for the sake of the country and its people so that work would initiate on it on a war-footing basis.
\nShah said the sad thing is that despite default risk of nearly 80 per cent, incumbent rulers and political pundits didn\u2019t learn the lesson.
\nThe ATP chairman in a statement here on Saturday noted in the past, so many powerful countries, monarchs had been dismantled owing to a feeble economy.
\nExamples of the ottoman empire, Soviet Union and other several countries exist, he added.
\nShah opined that the national security of every country is attached with its economy and society.
\nIf this is not handled, Pakistan will be in trouble, he warned. The party leader warned of enhancement in exports, declining tendency in remittance and balance of payments bankruptcy, calling it an alarming one. Faiq emphasized that a country\u2019s freedom, security and progress is an obligation of every person.
\nIn this regard, he asked to frame a joint strategy and policy.
\nSimilarly, he stressed the need for concerted and collective efforts for promotion of investment and reforms.
\nShah urged President Arif Alvi to play a forefront, lead role and efforts under the prevailing circumstances.
\nOtherwise, he made it clear that nothing will be gained.
\nThe ATP chief opined it is the constitutional duty of the president to protect constitution and law.
\nHe asked the government and opposition to craft a combined agenda and ensure implementation on it with true letter and spirit.
