\nPresident of Pakistan Dairy and Cattle Farmers Association Shakir Umar Gujjar demanded that in order to protect the small dairy farmer of Pakistan from exploitation, it is necessary to protect him from the dry milk mafia, which sells powder and skimmed milk to the country.
\nIt is being sold in boxes in the name and our children are suffering from malnutrition, dairy farmers should be supported to participate in the exhibitions in EU member countries and educate them. Shakir Umar Gujjar told Pak Benelux Overseas.
\nAfter coming to Brussels on the invitation of the President of the Chamber of Commerce, Hafiz Uneeb Rashid, he said during a meeting with the Pakistani Ambassador to the European Union, Belgium and Luxembourg Dr. Asad Majeed Khan in Brussels.
\nTrade Secretary Rana Bilal Khan were also present. In the meeting, the situation of dairy and local cattle farmers in Pakistan was discussed in detail.
\nShakir Umar apprised the Ambassador of Pakistan about the needs of Pakistani farmers and said that they should ask the European Union for the improvement of dairy and beef bread in Pakistan, high-breed semen and machinery for checking the quality of milk and more value of milk at the farm level.
\nA detailed discussion was also held regarding the import of machinery for added products and told that our future generations are suffering from food shortage. He also told that the production of local bread in Pakistan has been very low and we need our own.
\nIn response, Pakistani Ambassador Dr. Asad Majeed Khan assured Shakir Umar Gujjar that he will convey his complaints not only to the government but also to the European Union for capacity building of Pakistani farmers.
