\nAn important meeting held here on Tuesday with Chief Minister Mahmood Khan in the chair, reviewed progress so far made regarding the fictionalization of Provincial Security Secretariat (PSS).
\nAdvisor to Chief Minister on Home and Tribal Affairs Baber Saleem Swati, Commander 11th Corps Lt Gen Sardar Hassan Azhar Hayat, Chief Secretary Shehzad Khan Bangash, Additional Chief Secretary Shahab Ali Shah and other relevant officers attended the meeting.
\nCS-KP Shehzad Khan Bangash informed the forum about the overall function of the newly established PSS in the province.
\nHe said that the staff of the provincial home department repurposed for performing duties at PSS and reiterated that regular meetings are being held with Federal agencies\/departments for quick information sharing and fast track operations of the PSS.
\nThe Chief Minister appreciated the efforts of all stakeholders adding that the provincial government will extend full cooperation, including provision of the required staff and funds, to ensure complete operationalization of the PSS on priority basis.
\nThe meeting unanimously decided that the Apex Committee meeting shall be held after every six months for policy level decisions along with holding a quarterly meeting of the PSS Steering committee.
\nAdditionally, it was decided that the Fusion Cell at HQ 11 Corps, Peshawar will be integrated with PSS for quick information sharing.
\nThe chair directed the relevant stakeholders to prepare a strategy for dealing with illegal SIMs, NCP vehicles, cybercrimes, explosives and extortion cases.
\nFurthermore, it was decided that the PSS will issue monthly progress reports of stakeholders with the CM Secretariat and HQ 11 Corps, Peshawar whereas the Home department will provide a mechanism to public, on its website, for reporting of extortion and illegal cases and its onward taking up through PSS.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
