\nAwami Muslim League President Sheikh Rashid has said he owns the Pakistan Army and judiciary, adding that he, as well as the PTI, had congratulated the new army chief and chairman joint chiefs of staff committee following their appointments.
\n\u201cI was silent for the past eight months, but I want to say today that the army is mine, the judiciary is mine. I am proud of my Pakistan Army,\u201d he said while addressing charged protesters at the PTI\u2019s rally in Rawalpindi.
\nRashid also lashed out at the incumbent government over economic situation. Talking about the ouster of Imran\u2019s government, the former federal minister said that the PTI-led government was toppled by purchasing the conscience of the lawmakers.
\nHe added, \u201cWe don\u2019t want to fight. We [only] want to fight Shehbaz Sharif robber, Asif Zardari dacoit and Nawaz Sharif the absconder.\u201d Sheikh Rashid said, \u201cWe want to remove them (the incumbent government) through constitutional means.\u201d
\nThe AML leader added that PTI chief Imran Khan had realised that the economy was sinking. \u201cAnd when the economy sinks, national security is threatened,\u201d he said.
\nTurning his guns on Finance Minister Ishaq Dar, Sheikh Rashid accused him of lying about the dollar\u2019s declining rate. \u201cThe country has been destroyed by these corrupt people,\u201d he said, referring to the incumbent govt.
\nSheikh Rashid said that the masses of Rawalpindi \u2013 Rashid\u2019s hometown \u2013 feel proud to host Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman and former prime minister Imran Khan.
\nSheikh Rashid also appreciated the army\u2019s decision to stay away from politics. \u201cThis is how it should be,\u201d he asserted, adding, \u201cremain loyal to Pakistan, the nation and your institutions, but when the economy is in a bad shape and the country is sinking \u2014 looters and robbers have been foisted here.\u201d
\nSheikh Rashid also said when the \u201cinstitution\u201d will stick to its decision of not meddling in politics, the Pakistan Democratic Movement\u2019s funeral will be taken out. \u201cWe want to open all doors of negotiations but on the condition that a date for elections is given,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
