\nExecutive committee meeting of Korangi Association of Trade and Industry (KATI) was held, in which KATI President Faraz-ur-Rehman, SM Muneer\u2019s son SM Tanveer, Senator Abdul Haseeb Khan, CEO of KITE Ltd. Zubair Chhaya, Former chairman and Presidents Masood Naqi, Farhan-ur-Rehman, SM Yahya, Sheikh Fazal Jalil, Ehtishamuddin, Rashid Ahmed Siddiqui, Syed Farrukh Mazhar, Zahid Saeed, Danish Khan, Salim-Uz-Zaman, Sheikh Umar Rehan, Tariq Malik, Senior Vice President Nighat Awan, Vice President Muslim Mohammadi, members an executive committee and a large number of KATI members attended.
\nGreat tributes were paid to the services of the late SM Muneer in the meeting. However, in the meeting, Zubair Chhaya nominated SM Tanveer, the son of the late SM Muneer, for the position of Patron-in-Chief, which was unanimously approved by all the members.
\nFrom the ceremony, the newly elected Patron-in-Chief of KATI SM Tanveer thanked all the members and said that it is an honor to patronize KATI the largest and most active trade body in the country. Tanveer said that all the members have entrusted me with this responsibility and the way my father continued the mission of service, I assure all the members that, God willing, the legacy inherited by SM Muneer I will use all my skills to make KATI the best trade body in the country by benefiting from the experience. He said that SM Muneer gave 80% of his lifetime to KATI, and as a result of his service, people today remember him with respect.
\nOn the occasion, KATI President Faraz-ur-Rehman said that the selection of SM Tanveer as the new patron of KATI has once again proved that KATI is like a family and as per the vision of SM Muneer, the importance of service rather than positions. Rehman hoped that SM Tanveer would also be blessed with the same patronage as the late SM Muneer had given KATI in his life. With SM Tanveer accepting the patronage of KATI, it will continue to thrive. President KATI said that keeping in mind the wish of Zubair Chhaya, all the members have unanimously recognized SM Tanveer as Patron-in-Chief of KATI, which is proof of the unity of KATI. Faraz-ur-Rehman said that Zubair Chhaya always guided him in KATI and SM Muneer appointed Zubair Chhaya as his deputy several times in his life. He said that KATI is united under the leadership of SM Tanveer and Zubair Chhaya.
\nSenator Abdul Haseeb Khan assured the new Patron-in-Chief of KATI SM Tanveer of full cooperation and support from himself and all the members and said that SM Tanveer is the best choice for the post. Zubair Chhaya while paying tribute to the services of SM Muneer Bhaijaan said that with his tireless work he made KATI one of the best industrial areas of Pakistan. SM Muneer\u2019s training and guidance will always be remembered and will continue his mission. Chhaya further said that it is hoped that SM Tanveer will prove to be the best successor of SM Muneer.
\nAddressing the occasion KATI\u2019s Former Chairman, Presidents and members highlighted various aspects of the late Bhaijan SM Muneer\u2019s life and said that SM Muneer always dedicated his life to the welfare and betterment of the business community, and his heart beat only for Karachi and KATI.
