\nSSP Operations Kashif Aftab Abbasi has directed stern action against the criminals involved in street crimes and other anti-social activities in the provincial capital.
\nHe said that police officers should play their role in controlling crimes in Peshawar, adding that police have rendered unmatched sacrifices in line of duty and maintaining law and order situation and face the challenges of terrorism as a frontline force.
\nSSP Operations Kashif Aftab Abbasi expressed these views during a ceremony held to give cash awards to cops who performed their duty in excellent manner.
\n\u201cFollowing in the footsteps of their forefathers, the police officers should work with honesty and sincerity to reduce crimes,\u201d he added.
\nMade the statement yesterday on the occasion of an orderly room held in his office to give cash rewards to the policemen who have shown good performance and to listen to legitimate arguments.
\nPolice officers who demonstrated good performance were awarded with certificates and cash prizes.
