Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah demanded of Supreme Court (SC) to take suo motu of the prevailing situation in Punjab.<\/p>\n
He held that the SC should save Punjab from the economic instability and devastation of corruption .Giving them powers on a stay order is injustice with the people of Punjab. <\/p>\n
He said this while addressing a joint press conference with federal ministers Khawaja Saad Rafiq and Tariq Bashir Cheema in Lahore Saturday. <\/p>\n
Rana Sana said if the assemblies are becoming victim to arrogance of any one or mean politics then the governor can ask the chief minister to take vote of confidence. <\/p>\n
Asking the chief minister to seek vote of confidence is constitutional privilege of the governor, he remarked.
\nWe will not allow the assemblies to fall victim to the ego of Imran Khan, he added.
\nIt is our desire and endeavor that assemblies should complete their term, he held<\/p>\n
If they have required strength of members of assembly then they should obtain vote of confidence, he remarked. <\/p>\n
They have not requisite number of members therefore they are avoiding to seek vote of confidence, he claimed. <\/p>\n
Assemblies are constitutional institutions and base of democracy, he observed. <\/p>\n
It was constitutional obligation of governor to ask chief minister to seek vote of confidence. If you have requisite number then seek vote of confidence. <\/p>\n
He stated Imran Khan wants instability in the country. We don\u2019t want to escape from election and are fully prepared for election.
\nKhawja Saad Rafiq said justice has not been done in the court\u2019s decision on Friday. Our legal experts are reviewing different options to go to Supreme Court. The Lahore High Court decision does not meet the norms of justice. We think there is lacuna in the Friday decision of court. <\/p>\n
We will not allow Punjab government to hide behind stay order. <\/p>\n
