Says all political parties should work jointly for Pakistan
\n ISLAMABAD
\nPakistan Muslim League-Q President Ch Shujaat Hussain on Tuesday urged all political parties to work for Pakistan instead of fighting with each other.
\nTalking to the senior journalists at the occasion of a luncheon in honor of Naveed Anwar Ch, a Pakistani-American entrepreneur, Ch Shujaat said if political parties do not understand, neither the country will run nor the parties.
\nThe event was attended by Federal Minister Tariq Bashir Cheema, Mushahid Hussain Syed, Chaudhry Shafay Hussain and other personalities. The PML-Q leader said the elections should be held at the scheduled time. \u201cCan elections be helpful in ending inflation and unemployment, he questioned.
\nChaudhry Shujaat Hussain urged all the stakeholders to put their heads together for the country\u2019s progress. \u201cPolitical and economic stability were crucial for the country,\u201d he said, adding: \u201cIf we all work together, only then can we save Pakistan.\u201d
\nThe PML-Q president further said that if the political parties could understand the need to set aside their differences, only then International Monetary Fund (IMF) would lend its support to Pakistan. \u201cIf we don\u2019t ensure political stability, no one will send a rupee our way,\u201d he added.
\nHe also called consensus between political parties, reiterating that it was the only way to ensure Pakistan\u2019s survival. \u201cIf we cannot comprehend this, then neither can the country nor parties survive,\u201d he added.
\nShujaat added that \u2018many powers\u2019 want to destroy Pakistan as they want supremacy of India in the region. In response to a question, he asked: \u201cWill snap elections ensure an end to unemployment or inflation?\u201d
\nResponding to another question, he said former prime minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan should return to parliament. \u201cThe people, who elected them, are witnessing their actions,\u201d he said, adding that if the PTI lawmakers keep enjoying the perks despite not being in the parliament, it will be in no one\u2019s interest.
\nIf they only want to take salaries and other benefits, then it is of no use.\u201d The PML-Q President Ch Shujaat said political and economic stability is inevitable in the present situation of the country. To a question, he said neither the army had to come nor anyone else.
\nHowever, he warned if this time passed, then it would not come into anyone\u2019s hands. \u201cIf we all work for Pakistan, then we will be saved. If we don\u2019t come together, everyone will be destroyed,\u201d Shujaat hinted.
\n\u201cIf we understand and evolve a political consensus, IMF will give financial assistance to Pakistan If we do not handle the situation properly, not a penny will come.\u201d He said that some external powers had the design to damage Pakistan. \u201cThose powers want India\u2019s supremacy in the region,\u201d he added. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
