IHC Chief Justice Aamer Farooq and Justice Suman Rifat heard the case and reserved their ruling after hearing arguments from all the sides. Mian Rauf Advocate appeared before the court on behalf of the election commission. It is to be noted here that the IHC had ordered to hold local bodies\u2019 elections in the federal capital on December 31, 2022. The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) and the federal government had filed intra-court appeals against the order of the court.
