{"id":305117,"date":"2023-01-03T08:54:52","date_gmt":"2023-01-03T03:54:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/leadpakistan.com.pk\/news\/?p=305117"},"modified":"2023-01-03T08:54:52","modified_gmt":"2023-01-03T03:54:52","slug":"murad-directs-health-dept-to-seek-help-from-intl-psychiatry-university","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/leadpakistan.com.pk\/news\/murad-directs-health-dept-to-seek-help-from-intl-psychiatry-university\/","title":{"rendered":"Murad directs health dept to seek help from Intl Psychiatry University"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> KARACHI<br \/>\nSindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has directed the health department to seek help from any international prestigious Psychiatry university for the establishment of Sir Cowasjee Jahangir University Psychiatry &#038; Behavioral Science Hyderabad.<br \/>\n\u201cSir CJ institute is over 150 years old and has been a leading institute where patients from other countries used to come for treatment deserves to be the country\u2019s best university.\u201d This he said while presiding over a meeting here at CM House.<br \/>\nThe meeting was attended by Minister Health Dr. Azra Pechuho, Parliamentary Secretary Qasim Soomro, Chairman Sindh Mental Authority Dr. Karim Khwaja, Chief Secretary Sohail Rajput, Chairman P&#038;D Hassan Naqvi, PSCM Fayaz Jatoi, Secretary Health Zulfiqar Shah, Commissioner Hyderabad Bilal Memon.<br \/>\nMinister Health Dr. Azra Pechuho briefed the chief minister about the upgradation of the institute as a university.<br \/>\nShe said that the institute\u2019s hospital and other related departments would be upgraded, and the best faculty members would be inducted.Chairman Sindh Mental Health Authority Dr. Karim Khawaja said that the institute was established over an area of 27 acres which was sufficient space for the university.<br \/>\nAt this, the CM said that the old building of the institute happens to be a heritage, therefore it must be preserved and renovated accordingly. Mr. Shah directed the P&#038;D and Health department to sit together and prepare PC-1 for the university and meanwhile the charter of the university may be prepared.<br \/>\nThe CM directed the health department to contact any best international universities of Psychiatry and get their help for Sir C.J University so that it could be made one of the best universities in the country.<br \/>\nThe CM said that he would keep holding follow-up meetings for the completion of the necessary documentation.
