\nUkrainian fighters are looking for the support from West \u2013 to resist Russian assaults \u2013 as the help is on the way, BBC reported.
\n\u201cT-72s are old tanks – this one\u2019s the same age as me,\u201d Bogdan, a 55-year-old Ukrainian volunteer told BBC.
\n\u201cI used to drive one of these nearly 40 years ago – I can\u2019t believe I\u2019m doing it again. But it works. It does the job,\u201d he said.
\n\u201cBut a Leopard would be better,\u201d BBC quoted Volodymr, another member of their three-man crew, with a low chuckle as saying.
\n\u201cThere were very heavy losses. It\u2019s very pitiful. It\u2019s hard,\u201d said Danylo, an officer in charge of repairing tanks for the 24th Mechanised Brigade was quoted as saying by BBC.
\nHe said the current deadlock would not be broken unless foreign tanks arrived in significant numbers.
\n\u201cYes, we\u2019ll be stuck here. We need these [Western tanks] to stop Russia\u2019s aggression. With infantry, covered by tanks, we\u2019ll win for sure,\u201d he said.
