\nAn important meeting held here on Tuesday with Secretary Livestock and Fisheries Mukhtiar Ahmed in the chair, decided to hold the first international livestock poultry congress in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
\nThe meeting which was held at Directorate of Livestock and Dairy Development attended by Director General Livestock Extension Dr Alam Zaib, Director General Livestock Research Ijaz Ali, Director General Fisheries Dr Khusro Kaleem, department officers, representatives of livestock and poultry manufacturing firms and land owners.
\nThe forum reviewed preparations for the upcoming congress on livestock and poultry sector of the province.
\nSecretary Livestock on this occasion shed lights on the importance of the livestock sector and the role of the department in meeting nutritional needs.
\nMr Mukhtiar termed the holding of the International Livestock and Poultry Congress as a milestone for the development of the livestock sector.
