\nIf you thought cricketers Haris Rauf, Shan Masood and Shaheed Shah Afridi were the only cricketers getting married this winter, you\u2019re in for a major surprise. Another cricketer has crossed himself off the eligible bachelors list.
\nAll-rounder Shadab Khan who took to Instagram to announce that he got married in a nikah ceremony on Monday. Did we see this one coming? Not at all.
\nThe cricketer took to Instagram and Twitter where he shared that on Monday, he had his nikah, a big day that marks the beginning of a new chapter in his life. \u201cPlease respect my choices and those my wife\u2019s and our families. Prayers and love for all,\u201d Khan said, asking for privacy.
\nIn his statement he wrote, \u201cI am becoming part of my mentor Saqi Bhai\u2019s (Saqlain Mushtaq\u2019s) family. When I started playing cricket, I wanted to keep my family life separate, my family has also opted to stay out of public light. My wife has asked for the same, she wants her life to remain private.\u201d
\nHe once again requested his followers to respect his and his wife\u2019s choices as well as their families\u2019. Khan joked that if in case anyone wants to send salami, then he can send them the account number.
\nKhan received congratulatory messages from Pakistan Super League (PSL) host Erin Holland, tennis player Sania Mirza, actors Asad Siddiqui and Ushna Shah and South African cricketer Tabraiz Shamsi under his Instagram post.
\nCricketers also dropped by to congratulate Khan in response to his tweet. Imam-ul-Haq jokingly expressed concern for Khan\u2019s wife and prayed for her to have the strength to bear with him.
\nHassan Ali also congratulated his friend and hoped for more happiness and joy for him.
\nHaris Rauf, Khushdil Shah, Asif Ali and Muhammad Nawaz also congratulated Khan under his tweet.
\nKhan\u2019s PSL team Islamabad United\u2019s official Twitter handle also congratulated him and asked the captain to treat the whole team.
\nAfter Rauf, Masood and now Khan, Afridi is set to tie the knot on Feb 3 with Shahid Afridi\u2019s second daughter Ansha. A source close to the Afridi family previously told Images, that the nikah ceremony of Shaheen and Ansha will be held in Karachi on Feb 3, before the next season of the PSL starts.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
