\nRejecting the whopping increase in prices of petroleum products, Amun Taraqqi Party (ATP) Chairman Muhammad Faiq Shah out-rightly rejected the massive increase in fuel prices.
\nWhile talking to a group of reporters here on Sunday, Shah expressed fear that the abrupt government\u2019s decision will bring a new wave of inflation in the country and will directly hit poverty-stricken masses.
\nThe ATP chairman said the unprecedented hike of Rs35, rising price of petrol and diesel to 249.80 per litre and Rs262.80 per litre while prices of Kerosene oil and light diesel oil jacked up by Rs 189.83 per litre and Rs187 per litre respectively, which is completely unfair decision in the prevailing circumstances.
\nHe added the cost of businesses and industrial production would increase after the unprecedented increase in the fuel prices and will also bring negative impacts on economic growth.
\nTherefore, he asked the government should review its best interest of poor masses, businesses, industries and country\u2019s economy,
\nShah expressed his serious concern over rising inflation, hike in fuel prices and unemployment in the country, terming the drastic fall in the rupees as the most immediate reason for the spike in the inflation.
\nHe slammed the rulers and political elites as they are not bothering to pay attention to miseries of poor masses, adding the right to live has been snatched right from people.
\nThe ATP chairman attributed that hereditary politics is mother of all ill, calling for its elimination forthwith.
\nHe reinforced that reforms are imperative for strengthening democratic and constitutional system.
\nGame of gaining power and throne is yet not over in the country, Shah observed.
\nHe added that this \u2018tug of war\u2019 for surviving in politics and personal purposes has tarnished Pakistan\u2019s image in the rest of the world.
\nShah noted politics has been altered into hate and verbal abuse.
\nThe party chief said cases of the elite class are being heard in courts and provided relief to them but poor people have been frustrated from the present justice and policing system as they spent their whole lives in case life but couldn\u2019t get relief and justice.
